As part of their professional break, the fellas decided to relax and play several games of Volleyball. They invited me and Will along for the day. It was taking place on Apollo Beach near Nick's beautiful house. Everyone pretty much arrived at the same time. Their was the girls' support for the guys with Kevin's wife Kristin, Brian's wife Leighanne, AJ's Fiancée Sarah, and Howie's close friend Anita. Nick and Howie were the only single men and Nick made it obvious that he was showing off in front of me. Will was supposed to be here but surprise! He got called at the last minute. Frustrated I went anyway. It came to the point where I couldn't take it anymore. He was literally neglecting our relationship and I was going to be married to him in less than 5 months away. I was worried would he be like this once we got married? I just couldn't be forgotten about anymore. I was about to find out what Will was really like...

"Hey Skye! Come join our game!" AJ ran over to me. I looked up. He had boardies and no shirt with tattoos everywhere.

"Ah maybe later...I just wanna finish this" I held up the book and smiled.

"Okay I'll see you in a while!" AJ walked back to the guys. That was weird...AJ would never back down on an argument. Oh well I continued reading.

"Hey I'm Kristin..." I looked up to a tall average built woman with short curly blonde hair. She was very pretty and polite. That must be Kevin's wife.

"I'm Skye..." She sat down next to me.

"You're getting married soon right?" I smiled. She seemed very nice. I thought we would be friends for a long time.

"Yes Will and I are to be married in September..." I pondered at that prospect. It was coming up so quickly now...

"Well marriage is a wonderful thing, especially if it is with someone you love." Kristin watched her husband smiling. God I wanted to be that happy. I was but I wasn't sure. Nick was having a great time. Showing off with Brian, making Leighanne laugh hysterically. AJ and Sarah were having a little interlude with everyone booing and telling them to get a room. I laughed and returned to my book. I finished it in about half an hour. I placed it beside me and sighed looking at my ring. Was I being played for a fool?

"Beautiful...isn't it..." I heard a familiar voice. I knew that voice...It was Nick. I looked beside me. How come I didn't hear him? I must have been engrossed in the sea to notice.

"Yeah it's so calm..." I smiled watching the waves and avoiding Nick's eye contact. I couldn't even look at him anymore. It was too much to bare.

"That's why I love it...So what are you reading?" Nick reached for the book a little surprised that it wasn't a romantic book.

"Harry Potter, I love fantasy / Science Fiction stuff" Nick took a look at the back…reading it and placing it back beside me.

"Aaron's into the whole Harry Potter thing. It's wonderful for him to be interested. I always liked that stuff too." I didn't notice until later that Nick was smiling at me.

"What?" I was a little worried at his facial expression.

"You are just so beautiful...no joshing! You look hot in a pair of swimmers..." I blushed. I couldn't believe he said that! So forward and honest...I liked that....Two can play at this game of flirting...

"You don't look too bad yourself. What? Showing some skin now?" I pointed to his bare top half. He looked down and laughed.

"Wanna touch it? It's 100% Nick Carter true happy skin. It's durable!" Nick joked. I was shocked he would even think of asking me to touch him even if it was in a flirting tone. But I didn't mind.

"What? Nah...People might get the wrong idea..." I mocked a shock reaction.

"Your loss...hey you wanna be on my team for volleyball?" Nick asked. It wouldn't hurt to play a game of volleyball right?

"Okay...I suppose one game won't hurt..." Nick got up and took my hand and helped me up. We walked over to the others.

"Enough flirting Carter, now let's see how good you are..." Brian gave the ball to me. I wanted to show a good serve. I set myself up and booted it over the net and it landed at the back of Kevin and Howie.

"Man that was good!!" Nick high fived me and we continued the game for a little while longer. Nick and I were allocated to get drinks since it was really hot a few hours later. Nick showed me around his house.

"This is a beautiful place you have here Nick..." We sat down getting side tracked.

"You can see the ocean from here..." Nick sat next to me. His hand on mine. I felt a little nervous…oh god I felt these butterflies rising and it was like if I kept them inside me any longer they were going to burst out themselves.

"Yeah it is pretty..." Oh man my heart was beating literally out of my chest...I could feel something happen. I watched the water shimmer. Nick had his eyes on me. I'm thinking what is he thinking? Don't move any closer...Skye! Step away from him now! I turned to face him...We stared at each other knowing this would both change our lives with the next event. Nick moved even closer. I could feel his breath on mine. There was inches...centimeters...millimeters...between us. Until our lips were barely touching. I could feel the electricity between my lips and his. Our eyes darted from one side to another. I was sure we would get busted but a moment of silence as Nick's lips brushed mine. I closed my eyes and stiffened at first until I felt Nick loosen and traced my lips with his tongue trying to gain access. He softly kissed my mouth before waiting for a response, and then I couldn't deny my feelings anymore. He consumed me too much. I had to kiss him back. My mind was screaming NO! But my body was telling a different story more so my heart and they were both winning as I kissed him back.

"Skye...kiss me..." Nick whispered as I relented and leaned forward. His tongued surpassed my mouth and that was it! We engaged in a passionate kiss....We couldn't keep our hands off each other...and I felt no guilt....
